Ben Buckby was born at Leicester Royal Infirmary and grew up in the county of Leicestershire, in England[1]. He studied at Brookvale Groby Learning Campus from 2023, to 2025, where he completed his A-Levels in Music, History & Geography.[1]
His interest in music started from the influence of his parents, who regularly played rock music throughout his childhood.[2]
Primarily self taught, Ben Buckby also had guitar lessons with Paul Dixon, where he shared ideas and inspiration [2]
Buckby began writing and recording music during his teenage years. He publishes his music independently, with releases available on platforms such as Apple Music and Spotify.[3]
His work is characterised by a guitar-led, melodic style that blends indie, acoustic, and bedroom-pop influences.
Buckby has performed live at small local events. Notably, he played a cover of “Cigarettes & Alcohol” by Oasis at a festival-style event called Clankfest 2025.
