Blacksmith3D (Software)

Blacksmith3D is a specialized 3D graphics software suite used for painting, morphing, and modeling. It is primarily designed to facilitate the creation of high-resolution textures and complex character morphs for 3D digital art, with specific optimization for Poser and Daz Studio workflows.

History

The software was originally developed as a series of independent tools (Blacksmith3D-Paint and Blacksmith3D-Morph) before being bundled into a comprehensive suite released on May 14, 2006

Acquisition: In February 2014, the software and its associated brands (including Texture Transformer) were acquired by Bondware, the parent company of the Renderosity Marketplace.

Recent Status: As of late 2025, the software reached Version 8, which was released via the official Poser software site with updated distribution files.
