Dr.Loganathan Murugesan was born on 17 October 1997 in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, India. His father is Murugesan K, and his mother is Sivagami. He has two brothers, Praveenkumar M and Yuvaraj M. He is married to Kokila S (also known as Haripriya).

Early life and education

Loganathan Murugesan obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry from Arignar Anna Arts & Science College, Krishnagiri, followed by a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry from Government Arts & Science College, Krishnagiri, under Periyar University.

He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry at SSN College of Engineering, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai (2021–2025). His doctoral research focused on the thermocatalytic depolymerization of PET and polycarbonate plastic waste into value-added products and the synthesis of high-performance polymers and copolymers, and was evaluated as highly commended.

Career

Murugesan began his research career at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, where he held positions including Junior Research Assistant, Junior Research Fellow, Research Assistant, and Senior Research Fellow. During this period, he worked on polymer synthesis, plastic waste recycling, advanced material characterization, and sustainable chemistry.

In 2024, he undertook an international research internship under the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) at Tunghai University, Taiwan, contributing to research in polymer and materials science.

He is currently employed as a Scientist at Inventa Technologies Pvt. Ltd., where he is involved in research and development activities, focusing on translating laboratory-scale chemical research into industrial and technology-driven applications.
