Gandagana” (განდაგანა) is a popular, poignant Georgian folk song and a traditional dance from the Adjara region. It’s a significant piece of Georgian cultural heritage, often performed in a traditional dance style called Acharuli Gandagana. The lyrics tell a story of impossible love and the unfulfilled longing of two lovers who are forced to part ways due to societal conventions or family disapproval.
