The genre “Gaze-core” is characterized by the mix of Metalcore styled drums as well as Shoegaze styled guitars and often Hyperpop inspired vocals-though those are not the only qualification. While the two may seem very similar, Gaze-core is different than nugaze and blackgaze.
“Gaze-core” is a term coined by Isotonic-though he is not the one to start it-after he started to mix the two very different styles of music.
