Dr. Kaushalya Abeywickrama (born 21 August 1982) is a Sri Lankan journalist, author, and advocate for women’s empowerment. She holds a Doctor of Humanities degree focused on women empowerment and serves as a UN Peace Ambassador to Sri Lanka.

Abeywickrama has worked as an Information Officer at the National Media Centre, Prime Minister’s Office, Sri Lanka, contributing to media monitoring, reconciliation projects, constitutional reform, and higher education initiatives. As a lecturer, trainer, and consultant, Abeywickrama has worked with leading universities and training institutes in Sri Lanka and Nepal, including SLIIT Campus and TVEC vocational training centers. She has delivered lectures and workshops at Nepal Television, Global College (Kathmandu), and National Innovative Secondary Boarding School (Pokhara) on themes such as effective Communication, Personal Development & Transformation Motivational Training, prevention of drug abuse, women’s empowerment, and child protection.[citation needed]
