LigoWave is a manufacturer of wireless networking equipment that develops point-to-point (PtP), point-to-multipoint (PtMP), and indoor Wi-Fi solutions for enterprise, ISP, WISP, and surveillance applications.[1]
History
LigoWave was established in 2007 by a team with prior experience in operating an internet service provider (ISP). The company entered the wireless broadband market after identifying opportunities for high-performance point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connectivity solutions.[2]
Before adopting the LigoWave brand, the company operated under the name Deliberant, which produced wireless networking equipment for service providers and enterprise applications.[3] Over time, the LigoWave brand became the primary identity as the company expanded globally and introduced new product lines, including the DLB and Infinity series.[4]
Products
LigoWave develops wireless networking equipment for point-to-point (PtP), point-to-multipoint (PtMP), and indoor Wi-Fi applications. Its hardware portfolio includes the LigoDLB Series of outdoor wireless bridges, the LigoPTP Series for long-range PtP backhaul, the LigoPTMP Series for multipoint enterprise and service-provider networks, and the Infinity Series of cloud-managed indoor access points. In 2024, the company introduced the LigoVision Series, a new line of outdoor radios designed for use in both PtP and PtMP deployments. Many LigoWave outdoor devices operate in the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands and use the proprietary iPoll 3 protocol, a TDMA-based medium-access method intended to improve throughput in congested environments. The Infinity Series integrates with the Infinity Controller platform for centralized configuration and monitoring, while the company’s LinkCalc software provides an online link-planning tool for estimating wireless link performance.
Markets and applications
LigoWave products are used by wireless internet service providers (WISPs), telecommunications operators, system integrators, and enterprises for CCTV backhaul and broadband access.[5]
