This is a list of inventions, technologies, and scientific discoveries originating in Iraq or developed by ancient Mesopotamian civilizations such as the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians and also talk about the inventions that happen during the caliphate period.
Mesopotamian Period
- Writing system (Cuneiform)-First writing system used for record-keeping, literature, and administration was developed by sumerians in 3200BCE.[1]
