The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade featured 11 marching bands in 2024, including notable groups like the Carolina Band of the University of South Carolina and the Macy’s Great American Marching Band, which represents all 50 states.

Marching bands have been an integral part of the parade since its inception in 1924, with approximately 10 high school and university bands selected each year to participate.
