Paul Faucher (1898-1967), also known as Père Castor, was a French children’s book creator.
He established the popular Père Castor (Father Beaver) series of French children’s literature.[1]
Early in his career he was a bookseller.[2] His series employed Russian emigre artists.[3] Illustrators from other countries were also involved. Foammarion published the books. UNESCO has a collection of Faucher’s archives.[4]
