Reviews from Students/Websites

[edit]

As of currently, Rhea Middle School has a 1.5 Star Review on GreatSchools.org One of the reviews is a vague review on how nasty the school is. While the other review says, “As a student here, I feel like dying every day. This school sucks. My bullying situation wasn’t handled correctly; the bullies only got a talking and let go. This school’s food is also very greasy and anything but healthy. I can pick up the Mac n cheese with my hands without making a mess. And the bathroom never has soap; it always is out of toilet paper too. And barely any teachers care for my wellbeing. They call us out in front of people, except for one teacher, Ms. Anderson is like a safe haven in this hell hole. Zero freedom I swear. And this whole ‘drop everything and read’ is torture. If we don’t do it, we get sent to the office.” This shows how bad someone can have it here and how they’re not giving support to a mentally struggling student. Though seeing that, in terms of scores, they are in the top 50% in all of Tennessee. According to Niche, They are 131 out of 531 in Public School Teachers, 144 out of 571 in best schools in Tennessee. and 247 out of 591 in most diverse. According to Niche and PublicSchoolReview.com the average proficient score in Math is around 48% (higher than Tennessee’s average of 34%) and the average proficient score in Language Arts is around 34% (slightly lower than Tennessee’s average of 37%). Though according to Niche this school ranks overall a B+.
