That’s what happens in Bill Keenan’s new one-act play, Spin Cycle, except the characters are not in a diner but in a dimly lit laundromat, and there’s a storm raging outside.”[4]

Keenan’s writing in Spin Cycle is characterized by its raw, gritty realism and psychological depth. Critics noted that Spin Cycle harkens back to Sam Shepard, drawing on a spare, restrained style to explore mythic Americana and the emotional trauma left in the wake of fractured families, where chance encounters become moments of reckoning.[5]
