Luke McKenna is an Australian professional wrestler, who is known for competing under the ring name The Australian Sensation Craven. Luke was born October 3rd 1988 and is from Perth, Western Australia.
Early Life
Craven loved wrestling from a young age, [1]and grew up watching World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).[2]He debuted as Craven in 2003.

Wrestling character
Craven is best known for his signature move The Swanton Bomb, his crowd engagement antics and for wearing signature Zombie-style contact lenses.[1] More recently, he is known for his horror-inspired theatrics – taking inspiration from notable film and pop culture characters such as Art The Clown from the Terrifier films and Brandon Lees’ character Eric Draven from the 1994 film The Crow.[4]

In 2023 Craven changed his walkout song from his longstanding custom remix of Last Resort by Papa Roach, featuring his long time friend and Australian Rapper Omac, to My Disguise by Motionless in White – Marking a significant change in his character presentation and issuing in a new darker era for Craven.[4]
A lifelong fan of horror movies, the name Craven was derived from a packet of cigarettes. When Luke had his first match in a boxing hall in Perth, Western Australia he saw a the cleaner of the hall smoking a packet of cigarettes denoting the tagline Craven – A special mild. The name Craven reminded him of the director, Wes Craven of the Scream franchise, which was how Luke chose the name Craven.[6]
Craven gained the moniker The Australian Sensation to his ring name in 2009 whilst on his first United States tour in Indiana, and incorporated it into his ring name from 2009 onward.[7]
Career
Craven was first trained by Andrew “The Shark” Carter in at the All Action Wrestling (AAW) Academy in Port Kennedy, Western Australia. Craven then furthered his training by joining the Explosive Pro Wrestling (EWP) School of Pro Wrestling in Malaga, Western Australia under the guidance of head trainer Damian Slater.[8]
Craven continued to work as an independent wrestler throughout Australia, and at 20 years old moved to the USA and landed a spot in Florida Championship Wrestling, now known as WWE NXT. [1]
2009 and Florida Championship Wrestling
Craven continued to perform independently throughout Australia.
2009 marked a significant upturn for Craven in the United States. Due to his training at Florida Championship Wrestling, he began his first US tour that would earn him the moniker The Australian Sensation and would see him conduct matches in New Jersey, Indiana, and eventually defeating Erico for the PPW World Wide Wrestling title in October 2009. 2010 Australian and USA Touring
Craven continued to return to his roots in Western Australia in between appearances in the Michigan, United States and would regularly appear on the roster at All Action Wrestling events around Western Australia.[10]
2011 and All Action Wrestling
In June of 2011 Craven was defeated by Paul London for the AAW World Heavyweight Title for AAWs’ Code Red event.[11]
From 2011, Craven became a regular on All Action Wrestling [AAW] roster, regularly appearing in matches for the company, including for other Australian companies and events such as House of Hardcore, National Wrestling Alliance, Southern Hemisphere Wrestling Alliance [SHWA] and appearing at events like Australian Wrestling Federation [AWF] Supernova event in Perth in which he was defeated by Jay Taylor.[12]
2018, Singapore Pro Wrestling and The Crash Luca Libre
2018 marked Cravens’ first appearance in Singapore for Singapore Pro Wrestling Triple Thrill Extra – Unfinished Business in which he was defeated by Shiori Asahi.[12]
2018 was also Cravens’ first appearance in Mexico, notably for with The Crash Luca Libre alongside Mecha_Wolf_450 where he was one of a select few Australian born wrestlers to be featured in The Crash and appeared in a number of internationally streamed events.

Craven continued to appear in the United States and Mexico throughout 2019 for both The Crash – in which was part of eight-way and three-way matches, as well as for Freelance Pro Wrestling Battle Royal in Chicago. In between international appearances he would return to Australia for matches as part of Expolosive Pro Wrestling [EPW], SHWA Midyear Mayhem Rumble and also attending interstate matches like Adelaide Championship Wrestling [ACW] ACW Evolve XXIV event.
In November 2019 he defeated Delhi Dud Singh, Hannah Rose, Jules Canan, Odin, Pegasus, Ryan, Showtime Clyde and The Great George to win the Southern Hemisphere Wrestling Alliance Battle Royale in Kargoorlie, Western Australia.
2020 and Queensland Wrestling
2020 saw Craven more active on the East coast of Australia, rather than the west.

2021, Queensland titles and returning to Western Australia
February of 2021 saw Craven defeat The Reverend De’Ath at Wide Bay Pro Wrestling for the WBPW title, then in April of 2021 Craven defeated Spaceman Dacey and Renegade for the Venom Pro Wrestling Title, and shortly after in April defeat JB Hazard for the Suplex Pro Wrestling Undisputed title. This marked Craven as the first independent wrestler in Queensland to hold all three titles at one time.
In May 2022 Craven was defeated by Mikey Nicholls at the EPW X SHWA Worlds Collide event in Freemantle, Western Australia – marking Cravens return to his home state of WA since the covid 19 pandemic.[14]
Craven continued to be a regular on the east coast of Australia, having permanently relocated post-COVID to the Mid North Coast of NSW after meeting his wife in 2020.[16] 2022 – 2024 saw him appear regularly at Pro Wrestling League, Suplex pro Wrestling and Venom Pro Wrestling.
In August of 2023 he won the Forever Roxy Ryot Rumble – A fundraiser for the wrestling community to honor recently deceased Australian Wrestler Roxy Ryot.[17]
In 2024 Craven celebrated his 20th year in independent wrestling, marking a monumental personal achievement.[5]
Pro Wrestling League
by 2025 Craven had become a regular at Pro Wrestling League in Queensland.
In March of 2025 Craven won the Pro Wrestling League The Purge Rumble, securing the PWL Openweight title.[14]
Tag Teams and Bad Blood
In March 2025 Craven teamed up against tag team Jack ‘N’ Cheese in Singapore, alongside Dubais Shaheen for the Singapore Pro Wrestling (SPW) Unchained Tag Team Title, marking multiple appearances at SPW since 2018.[18]
Craven has also teamed up with Zach Reynolds at Queenslands Pro Wrestling League, forming the tag team Bad Blood in 2024.
Future appearances
Craven is set to appear at Pro Wrestling Leagues Chaos in Coffs event in November 2025 – the first PWL event to expand from Queensland into New South Wales, which will take place in Coffs Harbour, NSW.[16]
Other appearances
Craven has appeared at a number of live music events hosting pro wrestling including the Smashing Pumpkins The World is a Vampire tour in Brisbane, Queensland and Slipknots’ Knotfest in Brisbane, Queensland.[14]
Craven has been interviewed on The Commentary Booth podcast in May 2024 for his take on the 2024 remake of The Crow film.[4]
Merchandise
Craven has reflected his character work and creativity in his merchandise, having merchandise based off of horror movies such as Terrifier, Halloween and Friday the 13th. He also includes caricatures of his wife and dog in his merchandise. He has also released a custom micro-brawler figure of his wrestling character.[19]
