Kenyan long-distance runner (born 1997)

Winfred Nzisa Mbithe (born 30 May 1997) is a Kenyan middle- and long-distance and cross country runner.[1]

Mbithe won the silver medal over 1500 metres at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.[2]

At the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships, she qualified for the final and placed fourth overall in the 1500 metres race.[3][4]

She was a member of the Kenyan gold-medal winning mixed relay team at the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Kampala, Uganda, winning by eight seconds ahead of Ethiopia in the inaugural running of the race, and ran the second leg of the relay alongside Asbel Kiprop, Beatrice Chepkoech, and Bernard Koros.[5][6]

She was a bronze medalist at the 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Aarhus, in the mixed relay. [7]

In December 2025, she was selected for the Kenyan mixed relay team pool for the 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, United States.[8]
