El celestial is a television program that aired on the Spanish TV channel Canal Sur 2 Accesible. It is another of the channel’s programs that has a clear educational purpose and was created following the success of Hermano Mayor and SOS Adolescentes. El Celestial is based on the successful Japanese format 天の者, which won an Emmy Award.
After the success of the first season, Canal Sur 2 Accesible and Elastic Rights produced a second season with Pedro García Aguado in charge of another thirteen young people. The basic concept of the show has been purchased by several countries where it is broadcast with successful reception.
‘El Celestial’ will be led by Pedro García Aguado, the “Big Brother” and SOS Adolescentes from Canal Sur 2 Accesible. The therapist and Olympic medalist faces the challenge of helping troubled youth once again, but this time, it won’t be one at a time… A group of thirteen boys and girls aged between 15 and 33 with serious behavioral problems will have to live together for six weeks isolated in a celestial sky.
It will be a journey that will change their lives forever. Without any comforts or privileges, the kids will have to respect the discipline of life in the celestial. A survival experience in the heart of the celestial sky, a sting from a bee compared to their previous comfortable lives that will provoke extreme situations. It will be tough days in a hostile environment.
