This file may fail Wikipedia’s first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a free image might reasonably be found or created that adequately provides the same information, or which could be adequately covered with text alone because:
While no free picture of the machine exists, it could still be created Unless it is determined to be irreplaceable, the file will be deleted after Saturday, 4 October 2025. Please do not remove this tag. Note : if you believe that a free replacement image cannot be reasonably found or created please add one of the following without removing this tag:

| Use in article (WP:NFCC#7) | ZX Spectrum Next |
| Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8) | The ZX Spectrum Next is different in many ways from its ancestor, the ZX Spectrum. The Next’s own article’s illustrative imagery should be accurate and relevant, rather than falling back to misleading imagery of something else. |
| Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1) |
It is high quality and created by a member of the team. I may be able, with some practice, to take suitable photographs (I plan to do so in time) but at the time of writing I am not aware of any comparable media, suggesting that no one else has been willing or able to create such themselves. |
| Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3) | It is so specific that I don’t see how it would be relevant to any other article, unless further articles about ZX Spectrum Next are created (which seems vanishingly unlikely). |
| Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2) |
I asked Henrique Olifiers explicitly about imagery for the article and he directed me to this PR kit. So, there is unquestionable implicit permission to upload and use the image and understanding of the consequences (if any, it’d be slightly increased interest in the Next and maybe more pledges). |
| Fair useFair use of copyrighted material in the context of ZX Spectrum Next//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:ZX_Spectrum_Next_Issue_1.jpgtrue | |
| This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.
The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion. It is believed that the use of some images of promotional material to illustrate:
qualifies as fair use under Copyright law of the United States. Any other usage of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, might be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content and Wikipedia:Publicity photos. Additionally, the copyright holder may have granted permission for use in works such as Wikipedia. However, if they have, this permission likely does not fall under a free license. Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project. If this is not the case for this image, a rationale must be provided proving that the image provides information beyond simple identification or showing that this image is difficult to replace by a free-licensed equivalent. Commercial third-party reusers of this image should consider whether their use is in violation of the subject’s publicity rights. Fair use true |
