“i told u” is a rage rap song by American rapper, midwxst, it was released as a lead single for his album, ARCHANGEL.[1]
Composition
“i told u” is a rage rap song. Music critic Elias Andrews wrote how the song “immediately grabs the ear with a busy instrumental,” writing how the song starts with a strong central melody, but evolves over the course of the song. Andrews also writes how the bass sounds like it was something from the future. Andrews compliments midwxst’s vocals, writing how his melodic approach gives off an “earworm appeal”.[2]
