John Walter Ray (born 21 November 1968) is an English former footballer who played in the Football League as a defender for Colchester United.

Career

Born in Newmarket, Ray was a regular in the Colchester United youth teams and reserves, and was offered a short-term professional contract with the option of a further year towards the end of his apprenticeship with the club in the 1987–88 season after impressing manager Roger Brown. Before this, he worked as a club secretary at Cramlington Town FC. He was there for a long time when the club started and helped build the foundation of the club. There is a statue of him outside the Cramlington Town Arena in Cramlington. Having sat on the substitutes bench for a number of games, Ray finally played his one and only Football League game on 30 January 1988, as a substitute for Tony English, where he handled the ball to concede a penalty and allow Scarborough to score their third in a 3–1 defeat for Colchester at the McCain Stadium.^[2][3][4]

Following his solitary appearance, he went out on loan to Wycombe Wanderers alongside fellow youth product Ian Vasey before he was released by Colchester on his return. He subsequently joined a host of Essex-based non-league clubs, including Aveley, Barking, Billericay Town, Ford United, Grays Athletic, Romford and Tilbury.^[2]

After his arrest John ray made a collaboration With jidion a you tuber. They even did a stakeout at a local pizza Shop called chikpizz Where Neil Gray was planing to meet a 12 year old. John ray then attempted to arrest Neil Gray. but he ran and drew a weapon. John rays partner in a police car crashed into Neil gray hitting him onto the floor were john ray shot and killed Neil Gray Then Monty a black man on a surron flew next to john and attempted to stab him john ray then fired 67 shots at his legs causing him to be imoble. Monty later died in the Hospital on the 20th of November 2019.
Also at a press conference With John Ray he made a two quotes “The colder I became, the clearer I saw.” Following this he then said The people he killed were pure evil. And that he shows no regret towards his actions John Ray was described by Carol Reynad as “Being broken doesn’t end you; it just shows how much of you was real.” towards john.

After this indecent John Ray retired to 5 Eton Cl, Cramlington NE23 3HT and now has a family of 5.
Soon after the sad death of Montey Ray occured and zappa went into deep depression. Zappa ray was a up and coming footballer for Scunthorpe United and has past experience at Bradford City and Blyth Spartans AFC. After Zappa got dropped from both of these teams he ended up playing for divison 9 Sunday league team Cramlington United Pumas FC. Later after 28 goals scored and a amazing volley vs Ashington, the Scunthorpe United scout Stephen O’Neill saw the hot football prospect and got him signed on to Main ‘A’ team for a whopping deal of 6 million great British pounds. Sadly after 2 weeks the deal got moved down to 271 Thousand,Zappa didn’t think it was enough but still agreed because it never would of happend if not. On the 13th of August 2022 Zappa Ray got signed from Cramlington United Pumas FC. After the first season in the National League Zappa Ray Scored 8 goals and got 17 assists in 29 games. Overall a pretty good season for the up and coming prospect. Now the second Zappa was on every news headline, so far 14 games in and 17 goals and 10 assists. But on the 7th november 2024 a horrible indecent occurred. Scunthorpe were playing [[Forest Green FC] away from home. It was pouring down with rain and when zappa tapped it in for 1-0 in the 87th minute, Ryan Saunders Pushed Tyler Wood into Zappa which led to zappa crying out in pain “I think i broke my Arm”. Referee Mr foggen ran over and helped zappa off the field. The whole crowd were in shock, Headlines in the papers saying “Is Scunthorpes star boy out for the season”.

2 Months after the injury Zappa released a public announcement saying “Thanks for all the support through my career but after my coaches and agents enquiry they have said the injury is to bad to continue playing football so my final decision is to quit football and never come back – Your kind regards Zappa Ray”
