Joice Espinoza (born June 6, 2007)[1] is a Filipino singer, recording artist[2] and a beauty queen.[3][4]
Joice Espinoza was born in Olongapo. From a young age, Espinoza showed a strong interest in music, pageantry, and performing arts. Her passion for music began with theme songs from children’s shows and cartoons. Her mother enrolled her in vocal training in her hometown.[5]
As early as 10, Espinoza has been competing professionally in local and global stages such as Princess of the World in Pomorie, Bulgaria, where she won in the voice and modeling categories.[6]
Espinoza began singing at a young age, performing in local competitions and events.[7]
In 2023, She made her television debut by competing on ABS-CBN‘s It’s Showtime in season 7 of the “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” segment, advancing as a daily winner. She has also appeared in GMA Network‘s shows, TiktoClock’s Tanghalan ng Kampeon.[6]
In December 2024, Espinoza released her debut single Pangako Mo, written by songwriter John Rey Malto.[8][9] The song Pangako Mo has received over 1.2 million views on Facebook and was recognized with awards from the Global Music Awards in California, the Europe Music Video Awards,[10][11] the Parai Musical International Awards, and the World Music and Independent Film Festival.[12][13]
In November 2024, Espinoza received a nomination for Best New Female Artist at the 37th Aliw Awards.[14][15] In 2025, Espinoza appeared on TV5 (Philippine TV network) Eat Bulaga. While in the studio audience, she was invited to perform and sang “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita.” A video of the performance was later uploaded to Facebook, where it received widespread attention.[16] That same year, she received the title of Influencer Singer of the Year at the 2025 Influencers Watchlist Awards.[17][18] Following the success of her viral track Pangako Mo, Espinoza announced she is working on new music reflecting her personal experiences and aspirations as an 18-year-old artist.[19][20] In September 2025, ABS-CBN reported that she released a new single titled Hanggang Sa Muli.[21][22]
