Upcoming film by Jithin K. Jose

Kalamkaval is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action crime thriller film directed by debutant Jithin K. Jose.^[1] It is produced by Mammootty Kampany.^[2] The film stars Mammootty, Vinayakan in the lead roles with Gibin Gopinath, Gayatri Arun, and Rajisha Vijayan in supporting roles.^[3] The screenplay is co-written by Jithin K. Jose and Jishnu Sreekumar.^[4]^[5]

Cast

Production

The film marks the directorial debut of Jithin K. Jose, who previously worked as a writer on the film Kurup.^[8] The film is marked as the seventh production venture of Mammootty Kampany.^[9] The cinematography is handled by Faisal Ali, while Mujeeb Majeed composed the music. Editing is done by Praveen Prabhakar.^[10] The film completed its shoot in November 2024 and is currently in post-production.^[11]

Marketing

The first look of the film was released on 16 February 2025.^[12]^[13] The second look was released on 20 April 2025.^[14]^[15] The official teaser was released on 28 August 2025.^[16]

The film is slated for a theatrical release in late 2025.
