Kane Parsons (born June 18, 2005), known online as Kane Pixels, is a British-American[a] YouTuber, filmmaker, VFX artist and musician known for his web series Backrooms based on the online fiction of the same name.

At 16, Parsons published The Backrooms (Found Footage), which would go viral and be expanded into a series of shorts. Parsons directed a film adaptation of the series. The film was first announced to be in development at A24 in February 2023, and was filmed in the summer of 2025.[1][2][3]

Kane Parsons was born on June 18, 2005. His interest in 3D visuals started with LittleBigPlanet. He would work on environments and lighting in the engine. Parsons got Adobe After Effects around winter 2017. Around a few months later, He wanted to do a video set in the universe of Little Nightmares, compelling Parsons to learn After Effects. He watched tutorials whenever he had questions for any project, expanding his knowledge as time moved on. In February 2020, Parsons downloaded Blender. He would start to learn Blender as time passed. Prior to that, he worked on Element 3D, being apart of After Effects. Blender helped him and gave him what he felt as creative freedom. Parsons felt that 2020 was the best year for his skill growth.[4]

The Oldest View is a horror web-series, starting on March 18, 2023. The First Section revolves around a content creator, Wyatt, discovering a staircase leading into a underground mall.

Prior to production, Parsons encountered an image of a rolling giant, based on Julien Reverchon, and saved it to his computer. When he rediscovered the photo, he would make an archive of the rolling giant with his friends. Parsons would originally test the ideas and themes of The Oldest View in a Backrooms Blender animation test, but would decide against it and make it into its own web-series.
