Retired Pakistani military officer
Mumtaz Hussain HI(M) TBt is a retired two-star general in Pakistan Army, who lastly served as Director General of Personal Pakistan Ordnance Factories, assigned at Wah Cantonment, before retiring in 2025.
Hussain was commissioned into the 8 Punjab Regiment through 82nd PMA Long Course. In 2018, he was promoted from Brigadier to the rank of Major General.[1]
As a two star general, he served as GOC of the 7th Infantry Division.[2] In 2019, he was appointed General officer commanding Special Service Group (SSG).[3][4] Later, he served as DG Security and Garrison of XII Corps.[5]
He also served as the DG of Personal Pakistan Ordnance Factories in Wah Cantt till his retirement.[6][7]
He has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz for his services in the army from the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi.[8] He is recipient of Tamgha-i-Basalat and Golden Wound Strip as well.[9]
