Constituency of Bangladesh’s Jatiya Sangsad

Netrokona-1 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh. Since 6 August 2024, the constituency remains vacant.

The constituency encompasses Durgapur and Kalmakanda upazilas.[2][3]

The constituency was created in 1984 from the Mymensingh-12 constituency when the former Mymensingh District was split into four districts: Mymensingh, Sherpur, Netrokona, and Kishoreganj.[4]

Ahead of the 2008 general election, the Election Commission redrew constituency boundaries to reflect population changes revealed by the 2001 Bangladesh census.[5] The 2008 redistricting altered the boundaries of the constituency.[6]
