Niki Tobi played some crucial and important roles in the politics and constitutional development of Nigeria and here are some of his positions held, he served as the chairman of the constitution review committee during the General Abdusalami Abubakar transition regime in 1998 which produced the political document that was signed into law and re-introduced democracy to Nigeria in 1999. Under President Olusegun Obasanjo, he was the chairman of the National Political Reforms Conference (NPRC) ,He also chaired the Presidential Election Tribunal in April 2007 |

Niki Tobi, CON (July 14, 1940 – June 19, 2016) was an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.[1] Tobi was born in Esanma, Bomadi LGA, in what is now Delta State. He attended the University of Lagos and University of Nigeria, Nsukka to obtain his law degrees.Prior to his career at the bench, he was the dean of Faculty of Law from 1982 to 1985 and deputy vice-chancellor (academic services), University of Maiduguri. He was appointed to the Supreme Court in 2002.[1]
