Adults reach a length of about 5-5.7 mm. They have a black, elongate-oval body. The legs are reddish-brown, the [[elytra]] are yellowish-brown and the head and [[pronotum]] have a faint greenish or metallic shine. Species of beetle

Oxyserica steelei is a species of beetle of the family Scarabaeidae. It is found in south-eastern Tibet and in the Mishmi Hills.[2]

Adults reach a length of about 5-5.7 mm. They have a black, elongate-oval body. The legs are reddish-brown, the elytra are yellowish-brown and the head and pronotum have a faint greenish or metallic shine. The dorsal surface is mostly dull and glabrous, except for some setae on the head and the lateral cilia of the elytra and pronotum.[3]

The species is named after its collector, M. Steele.[3]
