🗣️ Captain Saud Shakeel Shares Insights
Speaking to PCB Digital before the series opener, captain Saud Shakeel shared his thoughts:
“We’re steadily adjusting to the English environment. The practice sessions have been useful despite a few weather-related disruptions. Our goal has been to make the most of every opportunity available.”
He added:
“Adapting to conditions in England takes a little time, especially for white-ball cricket. The pitches here usually favor batters, and high-scoring games are common. We’ve shaped our training with that in mind.”
“The teams we’ll face feature players eyeing England’s national selection — just like us. We also have some promising young talent. It’s going to be an exciting and competitive series.”

This England tour is a crucial platform for Pakistan Shaheens, with several players hoping to break into the senior national team. Facing quality opposition, including county players on the radar of England selectors, will test the resilience, skill, and readiness of these emerging cricketers.
