Bedi began his career as a fashion model, winning the first edition of the Gladrags Manhunt contest in 1994.[1]

Bedi made his film debut with a lead role in 1998 with 2001: Do Hazaar Ek.[1] It was a box-office failure and in the 2000s Bedi would then mainly play side or character roles. He also starred in the television series Humrahi (1993–1996). However, his breakthrough role came in 2003 with the science fiction film Koi… Mil Gaya, in which he played an antagonist to a young man who befriends an alien. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Bedi’s performance was praised by critics.

Bedi has since appeared in over 40 films, including Rakht (2004), Khamoshh… Khauff Ki Raat (2005) and Rocky – The Rebel (2006). He has also starred in several television series, including Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2002–2008) and Aahat (2006–2007).

Alongside his sister Ila Bedi Dutta, he co-produced the television series Lajwanti (2015), based on a book by his grandfather Rajinder Singh Bedi set during the Partition of India.[4]

In 2023, Bedi he co-produced the comedy movie Gol Gappe, inspired by Hera Pheri (2000), where he was a lead role, also marking his debut in Punjabi cinema.[5]
