RFA Growler, not to be confused with RFA Growler (1942), was a Naval Stores Carrier built in 1890 by Edwards & Symes in Millwall, of Yard 220 and became a war department ship.[1]

In 1914, during World War I, it became known as RFA Growler. On 30 November 1921, it was sold out of service to H.J. Beazley. On 20 August 1940, while being tugged by Prizeman, it sank 3 miles off Girdleness. The cause is unknown, and none were lost.
