Sean Taylor (born 1983) is a songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist from London. He often writes political songs about issues such as “Grenfell Tower“, “DWP”, “Lampedusa” and “This Is England”.

Sean Taylor played his first concert in 2001 at the age of 17 and has since toured all over the world. He began recording music at home in London making his first three albums. Then in 2009 he traveled to Dublin, Ireland to record “Walk With Me” with Trevor Hutchinson of the Waterboys and Lúnasa.
In 2011 he went to Austin, Texas to record the first of five albums with producer Mark Hallman: Love Against Death, Chase The Night, The Only Good Addiction Is Love, Flood and Burn and The Path Into Blue. Sean recorded the spoken word album Lockdown during COVID-19 lockdown when he also learned classical piano. The album The Beat Goes On was recorded at home as lockdown restrictions were lifted and touring began again.
In 2022 Sean recorded the first of three albums with Brighton producer and guitarist Ben Walker. The albums Short Stories, The End of The Rainbow and First Light.
In 2023 and 2024 he was nominated for the British Blues Awards.[1][2]
Notable festival appearances include Glastonbury Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Avignon Blues Festival, Ramblin Roots, Blue Balls Festivals.
Touring
Sean Taylor tours solo or with his band.
He has opened for Robert Cray, Richard Thompson, Band of Horses, Eric Bibb, John Mayall and John Fogerty. Sean Taylor toured and recorded with double bass legend Danny Thompson. Sean Taylor appeared on LFC TV performing a version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone“.[3] He also was in Session on BBC Radio 2 for Bob Harris.[4]
