Sudesh Kumar is a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Kerala, belonging to the 1987 batch. He served in various significant roles during his career, including as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Prisons and the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.[1] He retired in late 2022 after a 35-year tenure.[2]

Biography

Early life

He was born into a Ravidassia family in a village named Simbli in Nawanshahr. He completed his initial studies at the village government school.[3]
