:Jay Jor thanks for the detailed explanation. Appreciate you reverting my change that seems to have had unintended consequences. This should really be abstracted out to a Template… Having that sort of logic in an article is not a good idea… ”'<span style=”color:#00ced1″>Zack</span><span style=”color:#007F94″>mann</span>”’ (Talk to me/<span style=”color:orange;”>What I been doing</span>) 18:09, 16 November 2025 (UTC) |

::Yes, it could be a template, for example, Template:2024 AL Record vs. opponents, but there is no 2024 AL season page. There is a 2024 Major League Baseball season, however those tables aren’t shown on the season page. I think there are separate pages for all of the MLB teams. Nowhere near all of the SEC softball teams have separate pages, so I created conference softball season pages with more individual team information on it. People who follow a team for which there is no individual team page can still get a fair amount of individual team information. I will admit not doing a template is more a personal choice. I would have no problem with someone changing it to a template, as long as it had the same info and functionality. Thanks for a reasonable conversation. The, for example {{#switch:{team}|ARK=style=”background-color:#CCFFCC”}} is not used on this page. It is used on 2024 Arkansas Razorbacks softball team#Record vs. conference opponents, where the line in the table for ARK is highlighted, since I have reverted the change on this page to put the {{#switch… back in. Where as, 2021 Arkansas Razorbacks softball team#Record vs. conference opponents does not have the line in the table for ARK highlighted since, as of right now, the 2021 page has not been reverted. In more technical detail, the team pages, transclude the section that is the table from the conference page. Thanks for understanding. Jay Jor (talk) 18:07, 16 November 2025 (UTC)
