Starting from this version; have manually added small edits where I could fix things easily.
- Rephrased last sentence of first paragraph to comply with MOS:L and avoid placing multiple links next to each other: …the anthology film Tales from the Hood (1995)…
- Added in-line citations for: (1) quote about Cundieff being the godfather of black horror; (2) claim that Black horror is in its Golden Age; and (3) subsequent criticism.
- Rephrased sentence about Candyman to clarify that DaCosta directed the 2021 version, not the 1992 version: …and produced Candyman (2021), a sequel to the 1992 film of the same name directed by Nia DaCosta…
- Added book titles to the black horror novelists mentioned; removed Linda Addison because she is technically more of a poet than a novelist.
- Other small style edits (see version history).
- Article is generally well-written (I’ve fixed some minor grammar/spelling and done copy edits to comply with MoS).
- Direct quotes are used extensively, but they are generally integrated well into the text.
- Optional: The article could be strengthened by expanding the literature section, as the majority of it is devoted to film; however, I don’t think this is a major enough issue that it violates the “broad coverage” GA criterion.
- Prose:
- Sources:
- Coverage:
- Neutrality:
- Stability:
- Images: pass; images are relevant with no copyvio, and captions are appropriate.
