On 19 June 1958, he transferred to the Territorial Army, thereby ending his active military service, and was promoted to lieutenant. He was transferred to the Regular Army Reserve of Officers on 1 September 1961, which fully ended his military service but signalled that he was a trained soldier who could be called up in an emergency. |

I am Brian Harrison, the subject of the article. Although it would appear that the London Gazette did print such information, it is not correct. I left the army altogether in 1958. |

Can someone please add a label for corresponding Wikidata item in Latvian language? National Library of Latvia ID requires it, but I can’t add it for some reason.
Latvian (latviešu) description should be: britu vēsturnieks un akadēmiķis (dzimis 1937. gadā)

- What I think should be changed:
The following two sentences should be removed from the “Early life and education” section:
On 19 June 1958, he transferred to the Territorial Army, thereby ending his active military service, and was promoted to lieutenant. He was transferred to the Regular Army Reserve of Officers on 1 September 1961, which fully ended his military service but signalled that he was a trained soldier who could be called up in an emergency.
- Why it should be changed:
I am Brian Harrison, the subject of the article. Although it would appear that the London Gazette did print such information, it is not correct. I left the army altogether in 1958.
