:::OHHH, and their contents are highly overlapping. I prefer to merge these two articles but I’m not familiar with this city. It’s better to invite professionals to review it. I was just wondering you to pronounce Cius in English?

- With the caveat that it is very rarely pronounced at all, the traditional pronunciation would be /’saiəs/ (SY-us); I would guess that most classicists (the only people who would have occasion to talk about it) now say /’kiyos/ (KEY-os), using the Greek form. about what time was Cius founded or first suttled?

@Vikarna: Would you agree if the “Coins” section get merged with the “History” section? I think that the former’s content will fit better as the Wikicommon description of the image.
What do you think?

- I agree with your idea of merging. As for the description, I don’t think it fits well due to lacking of the reverse side of the coin like this. Vikarna 11:57, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, I also agree with you.
- By the way, thanks for the response!

- @Vikarna: What do you think about my merge? You can change some stuff or add something if you think that something’s not enough.

- @MahmoudAbbasAlDilfti: If I didn’t misunderstanding, the section means there are two kinds of coins with different epigraphs, one is Κιανων (kianon) which might means “of the Cians”, and the other one is Προυσιεων των προς θαλασσαν might means “Prusias on the Sea”. I think they are useful details and should be reflected after merging rather than simply deleting. Thanks! Vikarna 12:44, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

@Vikarna: Thanks for the advice!
How about if I put the translation and description of the captured side of the coin (the one with the head) to the caption?
– MahmoudAbbasAlDilfti (talk) 12:55, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- If the form is Προυσιέων, the translation should be something like of the Prusiasians. Yelets (talk) 22:54, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info!
-
- But, I think it will be better if we contacted the image uploader, Sailko, for more info about the coin in the image.

- Actually I mean that the image and the texts of this section doesn’t fit so the texts should be kept independently. Vikarna 01:15, 23 October 2025 (UTC)

I have restored the section. You might want to review my edit that restored it or check out the pre-merge version or maybe you have another suggestion for it. You are more than welcome to change and expand the restored section!

@Vikarna: Would it be necessary if I merge the “Modern History” section with the “History” section?
– MahmoudAbbasAlDilfti (talk) 02:31, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- I think they are lack of coherence so not necessary to merge. How do you like it? Vikarna 04:04, 25 November 2025 (UTC)
- I thought of making the “modern history” a subsection of history, until I remember that the modern history of Cius is literally the history of Bursa. I suggest merging it into some kind of footnote of the “History” section since the content is about a city that’s inspired by Cius and not Cius itself. What do you think?
