** {{done}} The title of the debut EP is in the section heading. To emphasize it even more clearly, I’ve changed it to: “2017–2023: Collaborations and debut EP ”Trececerotres””. The EP’s genre is described both on the EP’s Wikipedia page and below under “Artistry” -> “Musical style.” The main genres are electronic music and pop, more specifically, they are often described under the styles folktronica and art pop. |

Always happy to see a Peruvian subject on GAN; should wrap up the review today or, at most, tomorrow. The Blue Rider 18:34, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- @WwwWiki: hi! I love that you decided to improve a biography from the much under represent Peru and Lalita seems to have had a quite interesting life so far! With that being said, I am going to put this review on hold to let you further improve the article before I continue this review. The main problem with the article seems to be the sourcing, all 5 sources I checked so far didn’t support the statements either fully or partially; there could also be a potential broadness and prose issue, but it’s too early to tell. Many thanks, The Blue Rider 19:31, 13 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review! I will work through your comments step by step over the next few days and make corrections to the text. WwwWiki (talk) 06:57, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you again for taking the time to review this. Your comments ultimately changed the structure of the article fundamentally. I believe that the more chronological sequence of events now makes her biography clearer. I deleted a few statements that could not be sufficiently substantiated by RS. This applies, for example, to her work as a choreographer, her date of birth, and her current place of residence. With the exception of your first comment about missing images, which I will take care of within a day, I believe I have addressed all other points. In addition, I will review all sources again and shorten the text if necessary, if parts of it are not fully substantiated by the sources. WwwWiki (talk) 09:54, 19 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the changes. I will try to finish up the review by tomorrow! The Blue Rider 13:36, 19 October 2025 (UTC)

- I will be doing some copyedits while reviewing; feel free to revert if you don’t agree. The Blue Rider 12:56, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Thank you for applying the suggestions so promptly. I must say that every time I check a source it doesn’t cover the (whole) sentence. This would be grounds for failing the review, something I have been holding off from doing. You need to go through the whole article and make sure that all sources support the material and while you are at it, you can also do some very much needed copyedits! Thank you, The Blue Rider 17:01, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! I’m convinced that the sources generally fully support the content of the sentences—at least the sources for the relevant section. Sometimes information is hidden or can be inferred. Nevertheless, I need to review all sources again and make any necessary copyedits, but that won’t be possible until next weekend. However, I have already addressed your current comments and may make further corrections later this week. WwwWiki (talk) 22:28, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- After reviewing some more and doing some more spotchecks, I still am the opinion this article needs its sources to be checked. If you want, I can fail this review and after you revamp the article you can ping me to take a second look and hopefully pass the article! How does that sound to you? Also, after your source check, you could possibly put the article to WP:GUILD! The Blue Rider 01:57, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
- As a suggestion, try not to infer much when writing from the sources; for example, these last two failed spotchecks were probably due to that. The Blue Rider 02:02, 30 October 2025 (UTC)

- Currently, there’s no media on the article; couldn’t find any copyright-free photograph on her either. Though consider adding a photograph of one of her EPs’ cover, influences, like Carl Jung, or the venue of the NYFW, just to say some examples.
- Earwigs Copyvio Detector points to 18.7%, that is, violation unlikely; this is due a quote.
- Last edit on 11 October; no edit war in place.
- When was she born?
- Any context to why she moved to the US? Also, this sentence seems out of place since the bellow section talks about her studies in more detail; Plus, the section, «Fashion design», repeats this information;
Done I have added the reason for her move to the US and deleted the corresponding redundant sentence at this point. In order to better reflect the chronology of her biography and to present it more clearly, I have integrated the originally separate section «Fashion design» into the section «Career». She started her music career immediately after completing her design studies. WwwWiki (talk) 10:14, 18 October 2025 (UTC)
- Taking into consideration that both her parents also worked in arts and are notable, there could be more information about how they influenced her early life.
2014–2021: NYU study years, first recordings and guest appearances (DEFUNCT SECTION)
[edit]
- «NYU Steinhardt Music Technology Department» seems to be a program/course, not a department;
- The quote by Subotnik is not particularly relevant, I suggest its removal.
- What was the name and genre of her first song?
- Any details of such “further sounds experiments”?
Done fixed: As you correctly pointed out before: “also «sound experiments» is not the correct phrasing, the source only states that she was releasing singles.” Since I have replaced «sound experiments» with «singles», no further details about «sound experiments» are necessary. 2010–2015: Design studies and internships in the fashion industry
[edit]
- Coming of age is very ambiguous in terms of chronology; don’t the sources state exactly how old was she?
- What’s Council of Fashion Designers of America and what does a “finalist” mean/entail for the NFPO?
- Why did she earn a BFA in fashion design when she was studying design? Also, I think it is somewhat redundant saying that she was studying design at RISD and then, in another sentence, that she earned a BFA in (fashion) design.
Done Redundant word “design” removed and additional source added
- The profession of Titi Guiulfo should be added between commas to assert credibility and context to how she knows the undermentioned.
Done Profession and corresponding reference added
2014–2018: Music technology studies and first recordings
[edit]
- You should mention the Buchla and that its named after its engineer in the previous sentence to improve the clarity of the last sentence.
- Was “hmp” her first song ever or her first electronic song? If the former, then the sentence should be rephrased;
- It is WP:UNDUE and thus not WP:NEUTRAL to have a phrase stating that she was referenced as an artist by Vogue.
2015–2018: First experiences with film and performance art
[edit]
- Is it known on what Lalita collaborated with Serpas and Garison?
Done This was described in the following sentence. I’ve rewritten that part to make it clearer that the Selkie series took place at National Sawdust and that the three artists collaborated there. WwwWiki (talk) 21:11, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- Mention what Selkie Series is.
- Was Madre: A Disruptive Environment created by her? If so, it should be explicitly mentioned.
- I find the last paragraph a bit confusing, specially the last sentences; what is exactly this exhibition?
2017–2023: Collaborations and Trececerotres
[edit]
- What is debut EP called? What is its genre?
Done The title of the debut EP is in the section heading. To emphasize it even more clearly, I’ve changed it to: “2017–2023: Collaborations and debut EP Trececerotres“. The EP’s genre is described both on the EP’s Wikipedia page and below under “Artistry” -> “Musical style.” The main genres are electronic music and pop, more specifically, they are often described under the styles folktronica and art pop.
- Where did the album charted in the UK?
 Done
- What’s the name of the deputy-in-chief? Are they someone important? If so specify the name, if not probably just say «Numero called it…».
- Relating to the above, is that description («…enchanting, but…») a quote? The way it is phrased makes me think it is, but if not it needs quotations marks.
- What is mastering an album?
 Done
- Both Número (2025) and UCLM (2000) don’t support the second sentence of «Early life», or at least the current phrasing. Further, the translated title of Número (2025), «Uninvited Guest», is wrong; «Convidada de Piedra» would mean «Stone Guest», as per the translation of the play The Trickster of Seville and the Stone Guest, the origins of the idiom.
Done 1) rewritten, see Número (2023): “The Peruvian artist soon began to use her voice in TV adverts, dubbing images of children or creatures. Standing behind a microphone between the ages of 5 and 10, she learned to mimic different emotions through her vocal feats”; 2) corrected: The literal translation “stone guest” is now given in the reference.WwwWiki (talk) 06:57, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
- BBC News (2016) describes Subotnik as being a “founding father” of electronica; the source doesn’t mention that he was a “pioneer” of the Buchla, only that he commissioned it. With that in mind, I suggest removing the mention of Buchla and describe him as a pioneer figure in electronic music.
- The BBC article states: “Together [Don Buchla & Morton Subotnick], they created what is arguably the first analogue synthesizer”. The mention of the Buchla synthesizer is important because Daniela Lalita uses this instrument in her recordings (already in songs released only on SoundCloud, such as Madre, and also on her debut EP). I have elaborated on this further in the article.
- The previous sentence states: Don Buchla, an engineer in Berkeley, was soon commissioned to make that vision a reality. So, to me, it means Subotnick didn’t create it; other sources seem to state the same, that Don Buchla created the synthesizer and that Ramon Sender and Morton Subotnick only commissioned it.
Done Thanks for the clarification. I have described this more accurately and in greater detail.

- Vogue (2016) does describe Lalita, in passing, as a musician, but I think it would be extrapolating and editorializing to say that «At that time…she was already known as a musician», let me know what you think.
Done I can understand the argument, as I was unsure about this wording. I rewrote it as: “That year, she was already referred to as a musician in an article in Vogue”, which I think is beyond doubt.
- Viberate (2023) doesn’t support «over the next three years»; also «sounds experiments» is not the correct phrasing, the source only states that she was releasing singles.
Partly done Partly rewritten. I think it is important to mention these early, first music releases of her, but I could not find any other sources that do not ultimately refer to SoundCloud. An alternative would be the removal of this part WwwWiki (talk) 04:07, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
- Vice (2017) does mention that Subotnick wanted keyboard-free controls but not that he “demanded” it from Buchla; though maybe I am blind.
Done Sentence rewritten; Subotnick’s wish for keyboard-free control was implemented by the developer, as can be seen in the picture.
- TV Guide doesn’t support the first sentence, «Parallel to the first…», nor does mention that Lalita was a narrator. Also, what makes TV Guide reliable?
Done 1) The first sentence was intended as an introduction to the chapter describing that at roughly the same time as the releases on SoundCloud she was working as a narrator for a television series, as an actress in a short film and in several performance art projects. Therefore, all sources cited in the following chapter should be viewed as supporting the statement in the first sentence. I removed the first sentence because the introduction is not absolutely necessary; 2) You’re so right. I added an additional reference (see also not RS: https://m.imdb.com/de/title/tt4810158/); 3) TV Guide is listed within WP:RSPS and within the ‘New pages patrol source guide’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:New_pages_patrol_source_guide) as generally reliable WwwWiki (talk) 19:29, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
- Nuebo (2022) doesn’t support: «Lalita began working professionally as a musician…process of her debut EP»
Done The first sentence, intended as an introduction, should be understood to mean that the five years of work on the 2022 EP, documented by the Nuebo source (and the subsequently added Acero source), must have begun in 2017. Nevertheless, this sentence is not absolutely necessary and obviously rather misleading, so I removed it. WwwWiki (talk) 19:48, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- AllMusic (2025) and Resident Advisor (2025) don’t support the statement: «AS Acá was one of the best known singles»
- Nuebo (2020), OK: She was greatly inspired by the teachings of both during the creation of the composition
- Electronic Arts (2025) is not linked properly.
- London Standard (2022) and Daily Mirror (2022) don’t support the statement: «became famous»
