:In the meantime, I agree if you want to change already the running order by referencing the Koda list, since I have also included it as a source in my sandbox version of the table. ::Thanks for the response. It should be noted that these lists can sometimes come with typos. For example, in the 1964 Eurovision list, the songwriter for “Wonderful Copenhagen” is listed as Frank Loeffer instead of [[Frank Loesser]], so there’s a chance your sources’ spellings are correct. While doing research on old national finals, I noticed that several early editions of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix have their running orders listed differently from their respective koda lists from the official DR website. (Particularly, 1957-1959, 1963, and 1966, with 1960 being held on 6 March instead of February as most online sites claim.)
According to the one for DMGP 1957, the running order is as follows:
1. “Skibet skal sejle i nat”
2. “Længslernes vej”
3. “Fata morgana”
4. “Chanson ordinaire”
5. “Hele verden venter på en vår”
6. “Kærlighedens cocktail”
Are these koda lists able to be cited as sources? If so, these will prove very useful for future revisions for articles of Denmark in older Eurovision. Jusherman (talk) 05:39, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there!
- The running order given by the DR Koda list is correct. It is confirmed by newspaper reports and books which give the same running order. Also the names of the songwriters are correct.
- The reason why I haven’t changed the results table in the article so far, is that there is doubt about the corresponding artists and some song titles. For example, the fifth song, “Hele verden venter på vår” is written as “Hele verden venter på en vår” by DR Koda list and by the newspaper Berlingske Tidende but as “Hele verden venter på vår” by two Danish reference books. For this song, Birthe Wilke is given as artist by a 2001 book by Jørgen de Mylius but another book by Ole Tøpholm says it was Gustav Winckler. So there is some uncertainty. My current (unfinished) status of the table can be seen at User:EurovisionLibrarian/Sandbox#1957dk.
- I intend to travel to Berlin and Copenhagen in early 2026 to view some Danish newspapers of 1957, in order to have a clearer picture / reports that mention the song titles and who sang what.
- In the meantime, I agree if you want to change already the running order by referencing the Koda list, since I have also included it as a source in my sandbox version of the table. EurovisionLibrarian (talk) 20:42, 19 November 2025 (UTC)
