I don’t want to unilaterally make this change so want to get a sentiment check.

Given that the article is about “Distress Hand Signals”, I’m not certain the Raised Fist section fits / is appropriate for this article. I could see an argument that it is meant to communicate distress of the protestors / oppressed, but even then it doesn’t seem relevant since distress hand signals, as presented at the top of the article, are about indicating distress and a need for rescue.

I haven’t seen any sources that indicate that the raised fist has ever been used to communicate “I am in need of rescue”, so I’d propose removing the section, and relocating the section to Raised fist GlitchyRijndael (talk) 14:23, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
