This article needed to be updated with recent information regarding the state of Paraguayan human rights. For our college Latin American Politics class, we were assigned to revise incomplete or unfinished articles. To address the incompleteness of this article, we re-wrote most of it using recent scholarly evidence to create an accessible and useful article. We provided the recent legal framework as well as information about the lived experiences of the various groups of people. First, we restructured the article so the more prominent human rights in Paraguay are higher up, and the less applicable rights were at the end of the article. Second, we removed and combined the subheadings of human rights that were not relevant to Paraguay, such as migrant rights because there is not a lot of immigration to or from the country. We removed the Children’s Rights section because the relevant information fit better in both the Women’s and Worker’s sections. We also removed the “Institutionalized Corruption” section because the information was better suited in the “Right to Liberty and Security of Person” section. Next, we added a section illustrating the constitutional framework for Human Rights in Paraguay. Finally, we reframed the introduction to provide a brief overview of the human rights groups necessary to address.

There seems to be a lot of unsourced material and it uses very strong terms… flag flag flag but I don’t know enough about the subject to write it myself… Interlaker (talk) 22:48, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I’ve removed the strongest (and therefore the POV tag as well). I’ve also added a note that this article needs more sources. — Khazar2 (talk) 16:56, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
