It appears that anonymous edits made in a defamatory manner towards the biography of the Theravāda Buddhist monk, Venerable Kiribathgoda Ñāṇānanda Thero, have caused significant harm to his reputation. (For example, the most recent incident occurred on September 24.) Allowing such actions makes it impossible to maintain the quality of the Sinhala Wikipedia. Therefore, a formal procedure is needed regarding anonymous edits. Accordingly, I request that editing rights for anonymous users on this page be restricted.
