Please read WP:GWAR and Template:Infobox_album#genre. I have had to repeatedly revert edits to this page which have changed the genre to Blackgaze. These edits have been either unsourced or have been citing sources which use ‘blackgaze’ merely to refer to the band’s sound in general while applying no such descriptor to this specific album. Furthermore, FMSky, I fail to see how metal.de is a superior reference that what existed before your revisions. First you restored blackgaze (stated nowhere in the article in reference to this album) as well as citing “post-metal” which is only mentioned in its non-prose “Styles” list, which is not sufficient sourcing. The only one you added which is actually mentioned in the prose is black metal, which was already listed here and supported with a citation. Then you remove the source from the infobox altogether and leave only blackgaze and post-metal, unsourced. Οἶδα (talk) 00:01, 27 October 2025 (UTC) |

: black metal is simply incorrrect. This source is currently cited https://www.stereogum.com/2301531/premature-evaluation-deafheaven-lonely-people-with-power/reviews/premature-evaluation/; how exactly does this support that ”Lonely People With Power” is a pure black metal album? Its a RETURN towards more of a black metal sound, which simply means them returning to their regular blackgaze FMSky (talk) 00:06, 27 October 2025 (UTC) |

:The metal.de article is cited https://www.metal.de/reviews/deafheaven-lonely-people-with-power-572344/ lists “Black Metal, Post-Black Metal, Post-Metal, Post-Rock, Shoegaze”, which is much more accurate FMSky (talk) 00:09, 27 October 2025 (UTC) |

@Frost: Is a page history merge appropriate in this instance? I built the entire article independent of that draft, using the Infinite Granite page I created as my template. I did not copy and paste anything until I merged some of the content and redirected the page and its redirect. Even in that “merge”, I was just combining content/sources with what I was writing, the most substantial of which is just a quote. Not remotely a copy-and-paste parallel. - The reason I tagged it is that I’ve seen some admins histmerge drafts into newly created articles about the same topics even when no copy-pasting is involved. I thought it was the usual way to do it, and it makes sense to me because the original version doesn’t get left behind. If I’m wrong about this, I’m happy to be corrected. - Thank you for the reply. I will defer to your judgement as I am not as familiar with standard admin practice for histmerges. Οἶδα (talk) 07:04, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
Οἶδα (talk) 00:01, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Maybe those repeated edits by different users were made for a reason. Regular black metal is simply incorrrect.
