According to Wikipedia:Rough guide to semi-protection#Criteria for semi-protection, it doesn’t appear that pages are pre-emptively protected. However I agree lets keep an eye on this page in the coming days out of respect for the victims. Furbybrain (talk) 12:22, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It’s also possible that islamophobic sentiments, given the current geopolitical context, could creep in. Good to be on the look out for both That said, there doesn’t seem to be any vandalism one way or the other yet, and as Furbybrain said, pre-emptive semi-protection doesn’t tend to happen. While there is sometimes a place for the passive voice, this is not one of those times. Reliable sources report that it was indeed the driver who rammed a car into pedestrians and then began stabbing them. Sentences like “pedestrians had been driven into” sound bad, provide less information than what is given in sources, and should be rewritten. Einsof (talk) 16:40, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This article use British English, not American, and ‘driven’ rather than ‘rammed’ tends to be used in British English RSes. A few samples: BBC News, The Times, The Telegraph— DeFacto (talk). 17:02, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
