As pointed out by [[User:Tacyarg|Tacyarg]], my first and only edit on this page should not have been made by me due to the fact that I am employed by Oak, even though I felt that my edits were non-consequential and supported by third party sources. My main change was to remove the ‘the’ prefix from all mentions of Oak, as calling it ‘The Oak National Academy’ might mislead some users by giving the impression that Oak is an actual school or an [[Academy (English school)|academy]] trust. However I now realise that I missed five occurrences of this, including two examples in the introduction. Would anyone be willing to make this change on my behalf, to ensure consistency? Obviously any references to ‘the Oak National Academy’ in citations (e.g. article titles) or direct quotes would not be changed. :Hi, thanks for asking. I’ve made the changes – just one left in the title of an article. [[User:Tacyarg|Tacyarg]] ([[User talk:Tacyarg|talk]]) 21:53, 15 October 2025 (UTC)

I’ve done a large update to this article tonight. I tried to reduce the amount that it relied on Oak’s self-published data (which was a lot!) and rely more heavily on BBC, Schools Week, and Tes. I also included some of the ongoing dispute with commercial curriculum organizations but tried to include both sides. Finally, I added an outside report about Oak’s effectiveness alongside its own material.

I’m not an expert on this subject matter, just a passing fool, so please feel free to undo anything I’ve done here that you don’t like. StingRayGun (talk) 01:12, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
