::# Per [[MOS:LEADSTUB]], this article is so short it should have no lead or a very short one. I don’t see any information in the body that I would consider important enough to be added to the lead. Of course let me know if you think there is any specific information that should be included in the lead. For now I have just combined it into one paragraph.

::# Added “as of 2017” to clarify

::# Unfortunately not. There is so much less sourcing on these old events, probably because some of it has been lost to time, some is just too obscure for me to find, and there was generally less reporting on these old events. See for example how much longer the SwimSwam report on the [https://swimswam.com/french-win-third-open-water-gold-mixed-5k/ 2025 mixed relay] was than the [https://swimswam.com/french-win-third-open-water-gold-mixed-5k/ 2017 one].

I will review this soon 🙂 DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 21:26, 3 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, well done on this well-sourced article. I cannot see any major issues with it: Earwig shows no issues, it looks neutral and I cannot see any unreliable sources. Here are my comments.

  1. The lead is quite short. Could you please add a sentence or two and combine it in one paragraph?
  2. Can you please say what time zone the times take place?
  3. Could you please clarify “leg” for people unfamiliar with the term?
  4. “but it was not enough to catch him” – What does this mean?
  5. “more than any other US athlete” – ever or just in 2017/as of 2017?
  6. Is there any more information that can be added?

Once these have been addressed I will do a source spotcheck 🙂 DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 18:56, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Per MOS:LEADSTUB, this article is so short it should have no lead or a very short one. I don’t see any information in the body that I would consider important enough to be added to the lead. Of course let me know if you think there is any specific information that should be included in the lead. For now I have just combined it into one paragraph.
  2. Added checkY
  3. Linked as in previous review
  4. Expanded a bit to hopefully clarify
  5. Added “as of 2017” to clarify
  6. Unfortunately not. There is so much less sourcing on these old events, probably because some of it has been lost to time, some is just too obscure for me to find, and there was generally less reporting on these old events. See for example how much longer the SwimSwam report on the 2025 mixed relay was than the 2017 one.
