::::I don’t think it’s precise enough because it doesn’t really make clear what about elections are being changed (i.e. it’s not the date or time but the processes by which they are administered), and I think only including ”voting” rather than ”voting rights” in the title would amplify the false balance concerns raised by other editors here given the content of the article (particularly the subsections titled “Voting rights”, “Voter registration and vote counting”, “Mail-in voting and voting machines”, and “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act”). It’s why I included ”voting rights” in the proposal in the first place. Aside: However, now having looked it up, I guess ”campaign finance” is not included within ”election administration” but ”election law” so perhaps the proposed title should have been ”Election law and voting rights during the second Trump administration” (which would also encompass the content related to congressional redistricting). — [[User:CommonKnowledgeCreator|CommonKnowledgeCreator]] ([[User talk:CommonKnowledgeCreator|talk]]) 04:03, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

*”’Support moving”’. Neutral on proposed title. The title {{tpq|”…efforts to disrupt voting after the 2024 United States presidential election”}} reads to me like efforts in the immediate days/weeks after the election, to disrupt ”that election”. End date of January 20, 2025. Like [[Attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election]]. Not the ongoing legislative efforts in the years after they happened to win power in the 2024 election. Also unclear why these efforts are tied to the ”presidential” election in the article title, when the efforts seem more tied to state and federal legislative power. Respectfully, why does this article exist considering its lengthy title that clearly reflects a biased perspective. 67.0.255.127 (talk) 00:22, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Republican Party efforts to disrupt voting after the 2024 United States presidential electionElection administration and voting rights during the second Trump administration – Per WP:PRECISE and WP:NPOVTITLE, proposed title is more specific and descriptive about most actions discussed in the article (since actions are not limited to voting rights and voter registration but also include election security), and the article primarily discusses actions taken by the second Trump administration, Congress, and state governments rather than the Republican National Committee, state Republican parties, or non-governmental organizations. However, since the article does not exclusively discuss actions taken by the second Trump administration, proposed title uses “during” rather than “under” to not require an splitting the main sections into separate articles per WP:CONSPLIT (even though some subsections may be moved to other articles for trimming purposes per WP:SIZERULE since the current word count is 7,405 words). Proposed title is also shorter than current title per WP:CONCISE. — CommonKnowledgeCreator (talk) 06:43, 24 September 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. ASUKITE 15:10, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Describing the current title as “POV”, ignores the fact that it’s widely agreed upon by experts that the actions described within this article were or would be deleterious to free and fair elections and are purely intended to skew them towards one side rather than improve voting security overall. So, I think changing the title would be advocating for WP:FALSEBALANCE rather than changing it away from something that is POV. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 08:09, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, mainly because the proposed title is a lot more concise and describes exactly what the article is about. I’ve not seen this article before, but when I saw disrupt voting after the 2024 United States presidential election I was immediately confused because normally voting takes place before and during an election, not after it… This is about election changes being enacted by the current administration in relation to future elections, not something directly connected with the 2024 poll. No doubt the two commenters are correct in their assessment of whether the current title is POV or not – I’m not particularly concerned about it from that angle – but the requested move looks like an improvement to me simply on the grounds of clarity.  — Amakuru (talk) 09:40, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support moving, and weak support proposed title Yes, the proposed changes are highly likely to disrupt voting, but putting it in the title like that is too POV. I don’t love the proposed title, but it would be a NPOV improvement. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:25, 2 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
