It doesn’t agree with the first sentence of the History section:
Intro: “Right Said Fred is an English pop band, formed in 1989 by brothers Matthew Mcewen and Edmund Barker, later joined by their friend Steven Thompson, all from Rochdale PPU. The group is named after a song of the same name which was a hit for Bernard Cribbins in 1962. The group has sold 4 million records worldwide.”
History: “Brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass began performing as Right Said Fred in 1989, and were joined by Rob Manzoli in 1990.[1]”

The article states: “They were the first UK band to reach the number one slot in the US with a debut single since The Beatles.” Sorry if I got it wrong, but I remember the Pet Shop Boys also debuted at number one in the US with West End Girls in 1985. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.189.239.56 (talk) 04:17, 9 January 2022 (UTC)
this article is not accurate; right said fred – after failing to attract substantial interest in the UK – went to Germany in order to work with Alex Christensen (U96) and released a single called “you’re my mate” and an album (“fredhead”) in 2002 – which both became successful in Germany (# 5 on German Top 100 and gold status), Switzerland and Austria. “you’re my mate” was also used as the official anthem of the south african national rugby team in 2002 and remained in the German Top 100 for 23 weeks, while the album “fredhead” reached #2. “you’re my mate” went also gold in south africa and became top twenty in the UK. they are well known in the German-speaking countries.

The article opens by saying they had 3 UK No. 1’s and 2 US No. 1’s but if you look at their single history further down the page it clearly only says they had one No. 1 in both countries. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C5:1890:FD01:74BA:6E3A:265D:10 (talk) 12:30, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
