Anyone notice that the paragraph “Burn em all down, baby” doesn’t make any sense whatsoever? Who wrote this?

Removed writers personal reflections under “influence,” as it didn’t fit the article. The entire influence paragraph should be revised, adding information about “Icarus line” and further information about other activist groups, bands etc. influenced by the Motherfuckers. crimethinc might be a good place to start, if anyone’s up for it.

- Agreed. Do you have any sources for this expansion? I’d love to see it fleshed out, but The Motherfuckers are relatively obscure and I don’t see a lot of material on them out there. – N1h1l 13:23, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

- All i know is that crimethinc refers to The Motherfuckers in a number of their publications, available from www.crimethinc.com (click/google reader library). The nihilistic/anarchistic word-view of The Motherfuckers also seems to have influenced crimethinc’s ideology, but one might argue that the influence might as well be attributed to the situationist movement in general. I don’t have enough insight into these issues, but feel free to research it.

David Peel’s band had a song called “Up Against the Wall.” He was involved with the yippies too. That’s definitely worth a mention if I could get more info on it. —24.51.94.14 13:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
It seems much more likely that this organization copied the song “We Can Be Together” than vice versa. Paul Kantner states in the book Got a Revolution that he got the phrase “Up against the wall” from the Black Panther Party, and the song is credited to Paul Kantner only – nowhere is this organization mentioned in the album notes or any books about Jefferson Airplane. 1. Asked for citation that the collective “instigated” fights against Maoists.
2. Cite interview with Morea and McMillian.
3. Cite dispute between Situationists and the Motherfuckers.
