:::::I’ve often wondered that myself, I know Zinedine Zidane and Henrik Larsson both retired and unretired. Might be worth mentioning at the project page? Clubs are different though in that it’s contract dependent. Ibrahimovic’s contract ended, he didn’t sign/wasn’t offered a new contract, he was then a free agent for two months. United’s next season began without him signed. Then they signed him. It wasn’t one continuous spell. Same with [[Łukasz Fabiański]] and [[Carlton Cole]] (both had two non-continuous spells at West Ham), similar but not exactly the same with [[Paul Scholes]] ending his retirement. All my warmest wishes, [[User:ItsKesha|ItsKesha]] ([[User talk:ItsKesha|talk]]) 23:25, 18 October 2025 (UTC) |

He is not a devout Catholic-christian. He left God after his brother died of leukemia. 2600:8807:2D4B:4300:AD8B:413F:3460:2418 (talk) 23:49, 19 July 2025 (UTC)
- Removed it since it was quite out of place anyway, his view on religion is already covered in a different section. TylerBurden (talk) 16:46, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
What evidence is there for this? I see no source. 2A02:C7C:EC08:700:E127:5CCC:33FD:D36F (talk) 22:54, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
- There are quite a few in the article body. TylerBurden (talk) 18:44, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
- These sources are either a) non-objective such as interviews given by former managers and not suitable evidence or b) fail to make this claim at all:
- He is ranked 28th and 40th in the SI and BR lists, hardly high enough to be considered in the “all-time” bracket.
- Furthermore, he is ranked below Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in both lists despite Rummenigge only being described as a generational great on Wikipedia. RegulatedDOONHAMMER (talk) 15:07, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
I was reading his stats, but I don’t see why there’s two separate stints at Manchester United? Apparently according to whoever edited it, he played his first stint in the 2016/17 season, playing 28 games and scoring 17 goals in the Premier League. Then he left and joined back the following season? To play only 5 games in the 2017/18 season. It shouldn’t be in this format. It should be 2016-2018, 33 games, 17 goals.
Looks like a very simple mistake is on there. Harveywestall (talk) 12:30, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- I believe this was introduced here by @ItsKesha, any comment? TylerBurden (talk) 18:37, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- There is no reason for this odd formatting. Signing a new contract does not create a new “spell” at the club. And given that the original edit summary for change cited above doesn’t actually explain why Kesha thinks it’s “clearly two different spells,” while the body text of the article indicates that in no way, there is no reason to keep this edit. It certainly does not create a new consensus. Anwegmann (talk) 03:34, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
- He left the club at the end of his contract, he then re-signed while the next season was already in process. This is not one continuous spell. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 13:12, 24 August 2025 (UTC)
