The untitled Insidious sequel is an upcoming American supernatural horror film directed by Jacob Chase and co-written with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. It is the sequel to Insidious: The Red Door (2023) and the sixth film in the Insidious film series. It stars Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Sam Spruell.
The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 21, 2026.
In May 2024, Sony Pictures revealed that the sixth Insidious film was in development.[1] In September 2025, it was reported that Jacob Chase would direct the film and co-write the script with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. Lin Shaye, Amelia Eve, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell and Island Austin joined the cast.[2][3]
Principal photography began in Australia on September 15, 2025.[3]
The untitled film is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 21, 2026.[4] It was originally scheduled to be released on August 29, 2025,[1][5] but was removed from the release schedule in December 2024.[6]
