I have been contributing to Wikipedia since 2007 (officially with an account since 2009). I mostly contribute to Arabic Wikipedia, focusing on featured content. Although I write about many miscellaneous topics, I mostly focus on astronomy, wildlife and history. I also do a great deal of organizational work in the ‘places’ where I live. I have been a co-founder of [[:meta:Wikimedians of the Levant|Wikimedia Levant]], co-organizer of four versions of [[Commons:Wiki Loves Monuments|Wiki Loves Monuments]] in two Arab countries, and vice director of [[:meta:WikiArabia/2016|WikiArabia 2016]] event in Amman. I also had the great pleasure of attending Wikimania five times. Currently, I am studying a bachelor of English Literature and trying to learn my way through German.

I have been contributing to Wikipedia since 2007 (officially with an account since 2009). I’m usually on Arabic Wikipedia, where I mostly contribute to featured content on astronomy, wildlife and history. I also do a great deal of organizational work in the ‘places’ where I live. I have been a co-founder of Wikimedia Levant, co-organizer of four versions of Wiki Loves Monuments in several Arab countries, vice director of WikiArabia 2016 event in Amman, and a board member of Wikimedia New York City. I also had the great pleasure of attending Wikimania six times.

Professionally, I’m a GenAI prompt engineer and conversational designer at Uber. I’m interested in how large language models can meaningfully support Wikimedia projects under human supervision, especially in fact-checking tasks – a topic that I’m researching with a group from Columbia University. In the past, I also worked with the Wikimedia Foundation as a Knowledge Manager, contributing to the research, documentation, and writing of the 2030 strategy and the unratified Movement Charter.
