Hi, 45dogs. We’ve passed like ships in the night at Teahouse a few times I think, and your responses are quite good (especially since you aren’t an oldtimer, like some
If you’re convinced and ready to go, see WP:Mentorship#Where can I sign up?. If you’re hesitating, feel free to ask me any questions (I’m still fairly new to it, others have been at it for a couple years), but I think you would enjoy it! Either way, see you at the Teahouse, and around. Take care, Mathglot (talk) 08:32, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the offer, Mathglot! I’ve considered it in the past when visiting other users’ talk pages who are mentors. I do have a question; how do you deal with mentees who seek information you are unable to provide? Is it fine to just point them to the Teahouse? Thanks, 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 09:12, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
- Absolutely. But the questions seem to come when they are brand new; a significant percentage of them (to me, at least) are their #1 edit at Wikipedia. You won’t have any problems. But to answer your question, yeah: just refer them to the Teahouse. But in theory, everybody has a mentor; yours is
{{#mentor:45dogs}}⟶ FULBERT, so you could always foist the newbie off on them . Or on me, if you wish. But really, I think it will be more a place to mine newbie names you can welcome (if you feel like, and if someone else hasn’t got there first); the questions are not all that frequent, although I do enjoy them. I think you’d get a kick out of it. Mathglot (talk) 09:28, 26 December 2025 (UTC)

News and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2025).
Feel free to read my story at User:Interstellarity/My Story and join in for some Wikipedia-related fun. I hope you like it. Interstellarity (talk) 22:16, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- @45dogs, @Interstellarity – Hello! Good day! Keep up the good work on Wikipedia! We would like to congratulate you on Wikipedia’s 25th birthday! (Infinitywiki2 (talk) 07:46, 17 January 2026 (UTC))
Saw the script you used to blank the page and wanted to check it out, hit the rollback button by mistake instead. My bad! Lynch44 01:40, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Its fine! That script just provides a quick way to blank userpages; its quite useful for pages that previously would have been U5-able, and aren’t G11-able. I used it on that page since the advertising wasn’t so egregious to bother with a G11. Happy editing 🙂 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 01:45, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi 45dogs,
Following up on your earlier message: I reviewed all of Sujanneupanegrdh1’s election-related edits and cross-checked them with official results and reliable sources. While the articles themselves are currently neutral after your edits, this user has repeatedly attempted to edit them in ways that selectively reduce or remove information about the Rastriya Swatantra Party without source support.
The pattern appears partisan rather than accidental. Given the proximity of the 2026 elections, it may be worth referring this editing behavior to administrators or an appropriate noticeboard for review, so they can decide whether a warning, monitoring, or other preventative action is needed, till the elections in 5th of march.
At last, as you asked me I reviewed all the edits made by Sujanneupanegrdh1 and found that all of them are incorrect.

- Thank you for the follow up! I need to do a bit more digging, but I am considering a report (or at least a mention to an admin). I appreciate you looking into this matter 🙂 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 07:54, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi 45dogs. Thank you for your work on Phi (LLM). Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thank you for your work on this article. Please establish notability as per WP:NPRODUCT. Thanks and have a great day!
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mariamnei}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Mariamnei (talk) 09:49, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Mariamnei, I’m a bit confused. When I was creating the article, I was pretty sure it met GNG. I figured with the Wired, Arstechnica and NYT sources it would meet the notability guidelines. Could you explain how it doesn’t meet the notability guidelines? 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 14:22, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for writing to me. My understanding is that while the three sources you mentioned would be enough for WP:GNG, the standards for products (as laid out in WP:NPRODUCT) are higher. That guideline states “A product or service is appropriate for its own Wikipedia article when it has received sustained coverage in reliable independent secondary sources. … Avoid splitting the company and its products into separate articles, unless both have so much coverage in reliable secondary sources as to make a single article unwieldy.” So a stub like this with a few sources would seem to better fit under the main Microsoft article. If I misunderstood something, I’m happy to learn. Have a great day! Mariamnei (talk) 06:54, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello there! I saw you removed my citation on the Slope article regarding undefined slope, so I reviewed the rules on external links but I couldn’t find why it wasn’t allowed. Could you show me what I did wrong? Also I’ll try to find a replacement article.
Thanks, Trog1228! Trog1228 (talk) 02:58, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Trog1228! The specific part that should be looked at in the guidelines is
With rare exceptions, external links should not be used in the body of an article. Instead, include appropriate external links in an External links section at the end of the article, and in the appropriate location within an infobox, if applicable.
This can be found here. Also, I noticed this edit of yours. Please convert that external link into an inline citation. If you need help figuring out how to add citations, feel free to ask 🙂 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 03:15, 23 January 2026 (UTC)- Fixed it thanks! 😀
